Q: Why is this Fjord’s mission?
A: Too many digital services and interfaces are complex and difficult to use. Digital convergence also brings complex challenges for our clients. So we focus on elegant simplicity.
Elegant simplicity leads to high usage. High usage leads to revenues. Elegant simplicity is a core focus for Fjord, and it provides real value for our clients.
Simplicity is much harder to achieve than complexity. Many people can complicate, but it takes experience and talent to simplify something without dumbing it down. Elegant simplicity is a focus that applies to everything we do, from strategic problem solving to interface design.
Q: What else is important to Fjord?
A: We have two other driving ideas at Fjord: finding the best people, and finding the best clients and projects.
When we have exceptional people working on significant projects, we can create iconic breakthrough services, and we can build an organisation that constantly learns and evolves. These are clear and central objectives for us.
We are already lucky to have some of the most talented and inspired people in the world working for us, and our client list and relationships are excellent. But this doesn’t mean the job’s done. Instead, we need to build on these strengths.
We need to find, retain, and motivate the best talent in the market. Curious and ambitious people are keen to learn and evolve; that’s one of the reasons that we need challenging and interesting projects.
Q: What about the Fjord directors, what motivates them?
