After four days in the small fishing village of Reine in Northern Norway, the day had come where we had to fly back to our respective homes.
The time had come to say good-bye to the magical Lofoten Islands and the fantastic fellow Fjordians we had met and spent an incredible four days with. The New York and San Francisco teams were the first to leave for the airport at 4am, then the London team followed at 7am and the Helsinki team was the last to leave Reine at 9am.
Norway saw us off with beautiful weather, the sun was shinning like never before during our stay. It was perfect for catching a last glimpse of the scenery from the plane.
We left feeling full of inspiration, with great new friends and nice memories.
As we overlooked the incredible scenery from the plane, we had a bit of time to reflect on the past few days. It had been a trip packed with team work, extraordinary surroundings and new friendships.
Taking us out of our regular surroundings and away from our macs and post-its, and introducing us to a whole new environment, turned out to be the perfect setting for bonding with Fjordians from across the globe. It has only reminded us that even though we are normally geographically separated, we are part of something bigger. We’re definitely better when we’re together. I think it’s safe to say that we will all return to our studios feeling refreshed and inspired by our time in Reine, the challenges we have overcome together, and the extraordinary beauty of nature.
It was awesome, thank you Fjord!
